Terms of Service

Version 2026-09-10

1. What this covers

These terms govern your use of PDFSpectrum, an API that converts HTML into PDF documents, together with the dashboard at pdfspectrum.com. By creating an account you agree to them.

2. Your account

You must give a working email address and verify it before an account is created. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secret. An API key is a bearer credential: anyone holding it can spend your credits and read your documents, so it must never be placed in browser code, a mobile app bundle, or a public repository. Usage authenticated by your key is treated as yours.

3. What you may send us

You may not use the service to produce material that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that is intended to deceive — including documents impersonating a real organisation or person. You may not attempt to use the renderer to reach systems you do not control; outbound requests are restricted and attempts are logged.

4. Credits and billing

Usage is metered in credits. One credit is five megabytes of generated output, rounded up, with a minimum of one credit per document. Each plan includes a monthly allowance. The Free plan stops when its allowance is exhausted; it does not accrue charges.

Paid plans are billed in Indian Rupees through Razorpay and renew automatically. Prices are shown on the pricing page and on your Billing tab before you subscribe.

5. Changing or cancelling a plan

Upgrades take effect immediately and the amount is prorated by our payment provider. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period, so you keep what you have paid for.

On cancellation, the current month is not refunded — you keep access until the period ends. For an annual plan cancelled part-way through, we keep the whole months already used, priced at the monthly rate, and refund the remainder; the amount kept never exceeds what you paid.

6. Your documents

The document is returned to you in the response. We also keep a copy so you can retrieve it from your dashboard, for a period set by your plan:

PlanDocuments kept for
Free7 days
Base, Startup30 days
Boost90 days
Growth180 days
Enterprise365 days

After that window the copy is deleted. If you have configured your own storage bucket, the document is written there instead and we do not apply our retention to it — that infrastructure is yours and your own lifecycle rules govern it.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the service available and will tell you about planned maintenance, but the service is provided without an uptime guarantee unless you hold a written agreement that states one.

8. Suspension and closure

We may suspend an account for non-payment after notice, or immediately where use is unlawful or endangers the service. You may close your account at any time from the dashboard. A closed account is recoverable for 30 days, after which its data is erased or anonymised — except billing records, which we are required to keep.

9. Liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Changes

We may revise these terms. The version in force is shown at the top of this page. For material changes we will give notice by email to the address on the account before they take effect.
